i have a windows 98.Is it better to upgrade or just buy a whole new computer? I want the computer to play games such as halo and call of duty. If i should upgrade what are the parts i should change not including the graphics card.

No its not worth upgrading with a computer that old. It would be about the same price to just buy a new pc. I just did it a while back..went from a 5 year old emachines to my nice dell..processor speed and graphics card is what your looking for

buy a new computer! I put xp on an old computer and it crawled. if your computer is less than 700 megahertz and less than 256 megs of ram forget about it. stick with 98!
if you have halfway decent credit, give dell a try, you can agree to 25 bucks a month payments and you'll be setting up your new computer by the weekend. pick it out on dell.com, but don't order it, call them up! the prices on the website arent firm. i've bought 4 of them so far, and they are easy to haggle with and get a better price or get them to throw in some extras.

Windows 98 is too old to upgrade.

Get a new PC with Windows XP Home. Best for games.

Actually windows 98 is technically safer than xp since, hackers aren't trying to exploit security holes in it.

You should buy a new one. They are really cheap! Take a look at Modoshi. They have links to good deals for both laptops and desktops.

Buy one of the awesome new computers. they will be less or equal in price you paid for your old computer. Laptops are as cheap as $500.00. so do not upgrade get a new faster better ;model

Buy new motherboard w/RAM and CPU combo. If your disk is smaller than 40G, get a new one as your drive c to load winXP. Keep your old as a drive D.
