alienware uses ddr because they say its "low latency for increased system performance" BUT so many motherboards support DDR2 now , I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET !

I have a new dell computer, I recently upgraded ram to 2 GB and upgraded Videocard to a 256, when you download video type stuff off internet it is slow. This has Highspeed internet connected to it. Gaming speed isn't slow just internet video.

would any of these cause it to be slow?

crucial says i have1024mb memory on dell b1300. in # what is it 1 GB or more or less crucial says i can go to max 2048mb if it's less than 1GB i want to go up to 1 GB I am some what new at this thanks

My computer is slow starting up even the internet. It did not use to be that slow, I was told that it could be files that is slowing it down. How do I find these files & remove them so that I can get back the speed?

I know i can see it at start-up in my bios...but i want to know if it is possible to get that info while running windows, like a pop-up screen or something....fan is failing and i would like to monitor the temp as much as possible...and yes...I will be purchasing a new fan soon.

Hi - I have a DELL Dimension 4600C computer. It has a flat monitor. Anyway, today the monitor started blinking/fading to/from black and white then the computer is on. It (obviously) isn't doing it right now but it does do it at least once while the computer is on. It will either (eventually) stop on it's own, or I have to turn off the computer and hope that it'll be normally once I turn it back on. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening and a possible fix? Please? Thank you.

I am upgrading to new parts - ok mostly all new parts and keeping my case because I like it (the case does have LED lights if you take that into consideration as well) and I am wondering how large of a power supply the experts would recommend based on what I am putting in.

i hav some days ago a problem with my sound card from motherboard ,the web cam i use hav a microfon and and in my sound card i use a creative 5.1 system all 3 jack's ar full and my mic from webcam use a usb cable and i hav a problem with my sound in messenger it whas very anoing i hear in my system the voice of others but from my mic they dont heard me ( they hear my voices distorcioned) now i fixed that.in c-media 3d audio configuration i press to earphone plus mode allows earphones as rear speakers)....
