when i right click on my desktop, and go to properties, i cannot change the desktop wall paper.....it won't let me scroll down or anything..........what do i do?????

Do I have to fill out something for a credit card?
I wanted a Vaio but they don't have anything for college students does this mean I'll have to get a dell?

how do i chose the things that startup when I turn on my computer? lately it takes forever for my comp to begin because of the things it starts like msn messanger and other things. So i would appreciate if someone tells me how to chose what to startup. Thanks in advance.

Im thinking of replacing my Windows run laptop soon and really like the look of the new Apple laptops now I understand they dont run windows, my laptop is mainly used for graphics and things like that and I like to use programs like Paint Shop Pro and Ill need something like MS Office on there, also it needs to work on my wireless network that has 2 other Windows run PCs on there how can I get the new Apple Laptop to work on all this or do you use different programs?

i have a mobo which borrows 32mb from ram to run its onboard graphics,however i have set the graphics to agp in bios and this has disabled the onboard graphics
the problem is the memory is still being stripped of 32mb even though i am not usig the onboard video,i have gone into bios and manged to decrease the amount of borrowed memory to 8mb,but this still gets taken off the system memory i.e 512 mb installed(504mb appears in system properties)
question.....have i missed a function in bios or windows that will let me sort this problem out,if i cant change it ,i will just carry on ,its only 8mb,but it bugs me.,like when a program informs me i dont have enough memory,as it needs 512mb,although in theory i have it,..................onboard graphics.....ahh,h,h,h,h,h,h,h,h

I just bought a dell lattitude D820 and last night for the first time when I was ripping a CD it started making this *unusually* loud rumbling noise as it began to rip each track and then after a bit it began to just rumble constantly. I quit the process until I could find out if it was messed up or not. Does anyone know what's going on?
