is the nvdia 7400 series a lot better than an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950? just wondering?

cause i was reading tom's hardware forums and they mentioned that the 7400 series as a poor gaming card. in got me thinking if i was better of just getting an apple macbook and just upgrade the memory to 2 gb

Yes,
its way way way.........way better than GMA 950
coz gma950 is an on-board video acclerator which shares the video memory from ur system memory(RAM)......

but the 7400 series is a ADD-on card which has its own video memory..which will give u much better performance..

aslo the performance of gma 950 will depend on how much RAM u have..
if u compare intel gma 950 with nvidia 7400,,,undoubtly 7400 is way better..

but if u compare 7400 with other addon cards from nvidia or even ATI..the 7400 will be a avg/good but may not be the best gaming card....
u can try the latest 7900 series card from nvidia...

intel is not that good at making video card, it only makes onboard ones. nvidia is one of the best video card maker, beat ati most of the time, and you can trust that brand.
