guys...im trying to open games on my pc,,,i can open games but it wont work properly,i mean it's kinda slow,,,and my comp properties are ( vga:256,RAM:512,processer:2.4 GHZ)anyone know why games are slow?please answer and i'll be greatful

The stick uses usb 2, so I then bought a usb2 card to slot into my lappy, but I still cant get it working, I have installed all the drivers and software, It keeps saying device unknown. Any clues

ok i hooked up my camera (Powershot S30) to my Windows XP Home Edition thru my USB, went to my computer, turned on my camera, pressed get pictures but now it says it cant detect the camera which makes no sense cuz its definetly connected

i connected by digital camera (Powershot S30) to the computer it clicks like it knows its there, the hardware is installed, i went to my computer and found the powershot S30 i pressed 'get pictures' but it senses no pictures but i have tons of pics on my cf card

Ok. So my computer was on and the power went out. The monitor works, but the computer won't start. It is a Compaq if anyone needs to know. There is a green light that is flashing on the back, but it won't turn on. I'm asking this from my old '98. Thank you!

I've heard that I can and I've heard that I can't get a new processor for my Apple iBook G4 laptop. I want to play the Sims 2, but the system requirements say I must have at least a 1.2 GHz proceessor and mine is only 1.04. Is there anything I can do to make the game play (properly) on my system? I'm not into the slowmotion, choppy game playing.

I have an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard 1 Gig of ram my RAID set choices are Raid 0, Raid 1, Raid 5, Raid 10, and JBOD I understand that I have to have a Raid Set in order to make the SATA drive work.

Every time I load my laptop I get a message saying the power source could not be determined and that I should use a specific one, but this is the dell power source that came with the laptop and I've been using it for several months. The Laptop will still turn on while the power supply is plugged in, but the second I take it out (no matter how long I've left it charged) the battery is at low levels and won't charge when it's plugged in. Any ideas what I should do? Anyone had this happen before?

It's a Sony Vaio PCV-RX640, with 512MB of RAM, 60GB Hard drive, 1.33GHz processor, 4 USB 1.1 Ports, 2 Firewire, with keyboard and mouse. I know desktops don't sell very well, but what do you guys think.

I would like to buy a DVD / CD burner which can be hooked up via USB externaly. Please suggest a good brand considering speed , performance and data reliability. I plan on using it for everyday media burning/copying, also want to back up my Laptop once in a while. Thanks for you advices.

I just installed 512 MB of RAM into a laptop replacing a 256 MB stick. I wanted to replace the other 256 MB stick with another 512 to bring the computer up to 1 GB of ram, but it was very difficult to get to the other DIMM slot. Because of this, I just left the other 256 along with the new 512 bringing the RAM up to 768 MB. Will this harm my computer at all or am I helping by giving it more RAM?

My dvd/cd-rom drive wont work anymore, and I just used it the other day and now it wont read any discs, which really ticks me off cuz i just bought a new game the other day without knowing this and they wont take it back cuz its been opened (but thats another story). My dvd drive just makes a humming sound, and the disc does spin, it just wont read... if someone could help me that would be great!

We had a really bad thunder and lightening storm the other night and since then none of the usb ports work, i have tried different devices in different ports and nothing works. The rest of the computer works and the mouse does work in another computer. The computer states that the usb is working correctly. Was just wondering if maybe the lightening might have messed up the usb ports and nothing else. Can someone help me, please? And what can I do to fix it? I have tried all kinds of things.

My daughter and I are both users on my Compaq laptop computer. When I am logged on as myself, I have no problems, but when my daughter logs on, it will shut down on her after a half hour or so. She mostly plays games on there, but I play some games as well and have no problems. This happens whether or not I am logged on.

I do not believe it is an overheating issue, since it only happens to her, and not to me.

I have Norton Antivirus running, as well as Spy Sweeper and Ad Aware. They run on both profiles.

I am hopeful that this problem can be solved without the infusion of large amounts of money, so I'm turning to all the techies out in Yahoo Land before I take it in somewhere to be diagnosed.
