My Dell PC is currently connected to the internet (Cable), I would like to connect my Mac (which has no internet connection right now), which has the Airport extreme card in it. I was thinking of getting the Netgear router WGR614 to hook it up to the PC and have my Mac pick up the signal. Will that work or will I still need to get a USB network adaptor for the Mac? And are there any problems that I may have using the Netgear router with my Mac?

I only require the wireless network in order to remotely access the internet from my laptop. At the moment I have an ethernet cabled connection from my desktop to my DSL modem via a Linksys router. My laptop has a wireless network card but not my desktop.

If I connect to a security-enabled wireless network with the key, how much privacy do I get?

eg Will other users of this network or whoever created it know what websites I've looked at while on the network, or will they be able to tell at all if I've connected and when?

I have disabled network sharing of My Documents.

My DSL modem has a USB port. Can I hook up my printer to my network through this? It is not the rectangular kind of USB port though. It is a bigger, trapazoidal port like you would see on the printer itself. Do they sell USB cords that have this connection on either side? Will this work?

my school has a network of computers, and last year, you could use the DOS window to send net send messages to other people who are logged on. Now if i try, it says something like the message could not be sent, or net sending is no longer supported on this network. I think the computer guy disabled it or something. Is there any way to use this feature now that it is disabled? Do i have to type in a code or something? Thanks.

Last week I received an email from ebay and this is what it said: It appears the password for your eBay account may have recently become compromised. As a result of this, we have reset your password and secret question.

To regain control of your account, please complete the following:

1. Change the password on your personal EMAIL account to verify that it is secure and cannot be accessed by anyone other than you.
2. Change the password on your eBay account. To do so, click the "Forgot your password" link on the eBay sign-in page and change your password using the instructions provided.
3. Follow the steps below to secure your account:

Has anyone gotten an email like this? If so, how did you get back into your account. I did what it said and I even emailed ebay like 3 times and I have yet to receive a response. Any advice would be appreciated!!! thanks!

I'm having a problem connecting to my Netgear WGR614v6 router from my WinXP(Sp2) PC with an ADMTek ADM8211 card. The problem only occurs when I have WEP enabled (correct Key entered). I also have a Laptop that connects without any problems. The Strength is always Excellent but the connection either wont connect or when occassionly connected it doesnt last for long. It either comes up with 'Not connected' or 'Limited or no connectivity'. I'm currently having to use it without WEP but ideally want to have this enabled. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
