like chatting w/ other computers to which you are connected through network. i want to send a message to other computers without using the internet, how do you do that? THANKS!

if you mean how do you connect two computers without an internet connection, you need a cable, either a network or serial cable

You'll need the following:
- network cards (wired or wireless) installed in each PC
- a wireless (usually supports wired too) or wired router or a switch. This allows more than 2 computers to be connected. You can get a special cable called a crossover cable to connect 2 PCs without using a router or switch.

Setup depends on your OS. In Windows, use the setup home or small office network. Each PC will need to be setup with the same work-group name. After setup you'll be able to share printers, share directories or drives, play network games, etc.

you can use 'net send' command from command prompt window, then you can send text message to other computer :) (communicate)

disable pointless centers form administration panel/administrative strategies/ disable distant laptop and telnet. from homestead windows firewall, open it, from exception tab verify distant laptop and distant assistance, even perhaps report and print sharing in case you do no longer hire a community printer
