I basically use my computer for gaming...I usually play Hellgate London, Gears Of War, Guild Wars, and Shadowrun....i'll get more Vista games eventually but I wanted to know if it's worth the upgrade?

So, stuff that used to be plug n' play, for instance, my USB midi controller (that did not come with a driver cd) won't install automatically now. Now all my stuff that is plug n' play won't work. Any suggestions? thanks.

The 7 pin header is simply labeled "power". Testing with a multimeter reveals that pin 5 is ground (going left to right). There is 735 ohm to pin 1, 732 ohm at pin 3, 708 ohms at pin 4 (respective to ground). All other pins read open. The board contains an advantech "system on module" with 64mb of ram.

Some link checkers, including WC3s (http://validator.w3.org/checklink) look only at your own links to your own pages on your own site. Most other link checkers fail becuase they "time out" while checking a link. Know of any great link checkers?

i want to buy 500Gb Seagate Hard Drive but one is $119 and other one is $149. When i check out the specs, only difference is that $119 is "SATA 3Gb/s interface" and the $149 is "Ultra ATA/100 interface". what are the advantages? i have no idea what ATA or SATA is.

Besides 100 dollars, that is.

I'm a mostly casual gamer - I don't care about having the best of the best, but if it's definitely worth the extra money, I don't mind getting it.

Though I'd rather buy a monitor that's a few inches bigger with that money. :)
