I have an ASROCK P4V88+ mother board and a P4 3.0HT processor will it be safe if i put rams of different speeds? fact is i know that my mobo is dual channel capable - I have 2x256 DDR 400 - Kingston and 1x512 DDR 333 - kingston

If you mix them, the 400 chips will only run at 333. You can do it, and would probably not have any noticable "slowness", as often there are other things slower then the memory, so they rarely are used at full speed.

You can use them but the computer will automaticly clock down to the lowest speed the 333

Your memory should slow to the lower of the 2 speeds if you do this, but in some cases a minor incompatibility in cards could allow one to overwrite the other incorrectly. This generally locks the machine.

you can mix them but they will all operate at 333MHz
