I have erased everything on my computer...how can I get it back?
The same thing happened to my laptop (P45 Satellite from Toshiba) and I was able to get everything off of it. I mean the files, favorite pages, and music aren't just gone are they?

I am trying to upgrade the BIOS on my computer. I am using a floppy to boot up on and it says the update is done but I don't know how to get out of dos from there. I have to power off and I don't think it saves anything when I do that. I have tried EXIT but it doesn't work..

I am in the prcess of doing a lengthy report on word. It currently consists of 300kb (whatever that means). I am trying to add additional information to it but when I try to save it this message comes up. "the disk is full trying to write to c::. free some space on this drive or save document to another disk. I don't know what this means as computers are far from a strength of mine. I have deleted some old word documents and photos but I still can't save this piece of work. I tried to start a new document on word just with a couple of letters on it and is saved that ok. Any ideas as to what I need to do next. I'll go bonkers if I loose this piece of work. I also tried to copy part of it onto a new word document thinking that I might be able to save it in two halves but I can't copy and paste it cos it says that there are too many alterations on it and that it won't save all the work. I don't know what "save doc to another disk means. Help!! what do I do now??

I want to upgrade my laptop"s memory, currently using its original memory ddr333 256 mb. But the problem is I was not able to find 333, instead I have here ddr400 512 mb. Is it ok to use this two memory at the same time? will it hurt my laptop?

I'm asking this to get someone to tell me, exactly, what drivers should be installed, would any other video applications cause any type of conflict and in the answerers opinion, is MS Windows Media Player the 'best' for showing video? This problem is happening on both my desktop (Vista, home) and laptop (XP Prof.) I tried going to the MS "help" forums, looking through endless drivel, called FAQs and other "help", and still this issue has not been resolved with this problem. So I'd like to open it up to some of the professionals that I believe are still out there.

The only colors that show are blue, white, black (well, not black anymore) and shades of green. I just put in a new color cartridge and I have plenty of black. It was printing some things that are supposed to be black as green and some things were black as they should be (the web address at the bottom of the page was black). Now it just does everything that should be black in green. I can print in black & white from Word just fine, it's the web pages that are coming out green.

I have a HP Designjet 500 and we had to change the plotter head this morning. It looks like a smaller ink cartridge... Can anyone tell me what exactly it does? Is it a filter for the ink before it hits the paper? Thanks!
