I am trying to upgrade the BIOS on my computer. I am using a floppy to boot up on and it says the update is done but I don't know how to get out of dos from there. I have to power off and I don't think it saves anything when I do that. I have tried EXIT but it doesn't work..

If the update is done, you should be able to pop out the floppy and just reboot the computer. The reset button or powering off should work.

At the prompt type "exit" without the quotes, remove the floppy, and reboot. You will probably need to use the power button to do this.

When you update your BIOS (if you have done it correctly) then it saves it in memory on your motherboard (for the BIOS). You would need to reboot so you the new boot grabs the changes in your BIOS. there really isn't a way to "get out" of this, because you booted off some CD or Disk. As far as your computer knows (in this case) all you have is a Disk. So you would need to reboot.
