The symptoms very from computer to computer. It will aether not work or run at a lower speed than your motherboard is rated.

Nope its backwards compatible but that would be going forwards.

Never heard of a motherboard that only supports 667/800 tho, usually it can support all speeds up to a certain one.

Anything is possible though....

i've read about this.....

if it's an intel chipset it won't becuase that one of it's limatations

RAM is hella cheap though so gte better some slightly "better" RAM
