Hi, I got my dads used laptop about 3 weeks ago. It has norton in the list of programs, but it is disabled and i cannot run it, as it was his and i don't know the passwords etc. So i didn't have any protection but man, it was so fast. I LOVED how fast it was. About a week ago i downloaded CA virus protection. This screwed up my computer. it was so slow (about 1-2 minutes to open a browser)...so after having enough of that i uninstalled it. well, now my computer is slower than ever! I was trying to type this quesion on my laptop and it keeps freezing up. I ran a internet security check thru symantec and it was fine. then when i try to run a virus check thru symantec it freezes at file 2806. So i can't even do anything on my lap top now. I am on my desktop and it is so slow too. I hate it. Ok, so, how can i make my laptop fast again, what do i need to do? and then what type of free virus protection? Also, what is internet security? do i need that? thanks!

The website is working else where except within my wireless network
I have deleted my cookies n files
I have done everything possobly i can think of
Only one thing to do.To find if my IP address is banned by the webmaster.?
Can they actually ban a IP address?

I have a logo that I want to include on a Word document both at the top of the page and the bottom of the page. I want to retain the colour of the logo so ideally not looking to use the Header/Footer function.

Is there a way that I can achor the logo to the page regardless of what else I choose to type on the document around it? Like having headed paper for example and then using various contents as and when I wish?

Can you connect 2 powersupply units together (in parallel) to increase there output.
Bassicly i need around 250W PSU but it needs to run from a 12v dc supply the bigest 12v dc-dc psu i can get is the M2-ATX 160W.
Could 2 of these be joined together to give a 320W output i know the curretn draw would be high but i've allowed for a 50amp 12v supply.

Any ideas?

I am trying to enlarge the text in the chat box below games. I tried locking caps and also holding down ctrl and turning the wheel on the mouse, but neither worken. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm going back to school this winter and want a small laptop. I'm just going to use it for internet, email, writing papers and running World of Warcraft on low settings when I need a break. I know the mac's are a little more but I'm thinking a macbook will give me a better chance of running Warcraft decently. What do you think??

I've got a simple web form that is linked to my company's contact management system. When someone fills out the form the note that they fill in is automatically put into our system. Our system allows for this form to exist in order to receive the data input.

I would like to figure a way that someone can email a dedicated email address (in a properly formatted email I suppose) and the it will (in some way) "fill in" that form (or really just using that form handler to process the email) so as to communicate with our system.

This question cant be answered in completion on here, I doubt its too easy - but I'm hoping to find some starting points I'm having problems even googling it because all I find are form-to-email type results.

The form uses an action method of POST.

I am a beginner-intermediate Excel user (good with math, not good with the power of excel). BTW, this is Mac MS Excel.

Scenario:

I have a workbook that tracks daily training stats. Each daily training sheet can be duplicated for as many days the user needs within the month. Each daily training sheet includes an area to track items used for training. Each item listed includes a CHECKBOX to identify whether or not it was used that day.

I want a summary sheet at the end that can provide totals for each item's total usage. It needs to identify checked boxes and ignore unchecked boxes. The catch here is that the number of sheets in the workbook will always change as the user creates new sheets for every day spent training.

For scenario's sake, the name of each sheet is the date of the month (i.e. 01,02,03,04, etc). I cannot just create 31 blank sheets, as some days are spent training multiple times and some days have no training.

How can I create a summary that can do this?

The first window I open in Internet explorer will open and run okay, but if I open additional pages in different windows, the first page won't load for a long time and won't shut down, However, the rest of the open windows work fine. After I close everything else, that first window still won't close and I have to go to start and log off that way. A real pain. Any ideas?

Basically I am learning XHTML and CSS, and I try not to use tables at all for formatting the page, because CSS can do that.

But I'm having a hard time grasp, exactly when it IS ok to use tables. For instance, designing a page with tables in mind is a no-no. But what about using a table around a form field? I don't really see how you would properly format a form field/registration page with input fields without using a table.

Thanks in advance, don't really know about tables, didn't think I really needed em, let me know.

What does svchost.exe DLL initialization failed mean? What should I do?
My PC is still slow as molasses. There is no virus. I deleted severals cookies, I defragmented the machine. When I exit the window instead of disappearing, the window slides slowly all the way down at the bottom of the screen. Can someone tell me! I can take it you know. (windowsxp)
