I have a logo that I want to include on a Word document both at the top of the page and the bottom of the page. I want to retain the colour of the logo so ideally not looking to use the Header/Footer function.

Is there a way that I can achor the logo to the page regardless of what else I choose to type on the document around it? Like having headed paper for example and then using various contents as and when I wish?

You still use the header and footer function.

Create a image of you logo in jpg format.

Click on Header and Footer to get into edit mode for your footer

click in the footer
insert the image of the jpg
resize the image to the proper size
format the image to be centered

The logo will now appear on every page

header/footer doesn't remove the color. It washes it out when you are working on the document but prints in color.

Use the drawing toolbar and click on the page creating nothing. There will be a box there. Drag the logo into the box then try to drag it out of the box. Delete the box and the logo will remain. Kind of a ghetto way of doing it.

Other way is to create a watermark in the background

Why do you think header/footer changes the colors? Word grays it out so you understand it isnt part of the body. But, when you print it, color is retained.
Also, you may want a watermark? Which is a background image in the body of your document. yah?

Edit:
How do you anchor the image with text going around it?
You can draw a table that does't have borders giving it a clean look. For example,
If you want the image to be in the middle, create a 3 column table, add the image to the middle and the text on either side.
You can take it from there I think.

Putting logos in header or footer won't alter the colour unless you make it watermark or change colour yourself. When I design letterheads I always put the logo and in fact the whole design into header/footer space.

Just create it the way you want (footers/headers appear full colour in print) and save as a template.

all you need to do is go to:
insert > Picture > From File.. then you choose which pic you want and it will appear on the page
here you can change the size of it and move it anywhere on the page that you wish to

or another easy way to get your logo into word is to:
- right click onto your image
- then open the word document
- right click the empty part of the page ,
- scrool down to paste and the logo should appear.

Put it in the Header and Footer...the colour will be as full as it otherwise would. If your default printer is a colour printer, click on the Print Preview icon to see what it will look like.

the header/footer function only looks faded on screen. when you print it should be in full colour.
