The only colors that show are blue, white, black (well, not black anymore) and shades of green. I just put in a new color cartridge and I have plenty of black. It was printing some things that are supposed to be black as green and some things were black as they should be (the web address at the bottom of the page was black). Now it just does everything that should be black in green. I can print in black & white from Word just fine, it's the web pages that are coming out green.

OK so I've cleaned the cartridges and Magenta doesn't show up on the print out. I've done this twice and still nothing. I just put the new color cartridge in and the printer shows that I have a 1/2 full black cartridge. Do I just need to give up and go buy another color or keep trying to clean it?

When you print in color some printers actually create the black ink with color ink sounds like one of the heads is cloged or your color ink is running out of the magenta. Try cleaning the heads by going to the properties of the printer.

May need a new cartridge...try printing in one color or copy one color mode....there are 4 primary colors...cyan, magenta, yellow and black I am willing to bet the magenta is clogged.
If any colors were empty you would have been promted by the machine to replace the cartridge....there's a micro chipp on the cartridge that can tell if it needs replacing.

Have you replaced the ink cartridges? As they contain multiple colors of ink, it sounds like some of the colors have run out.
