I've had Norton, McAfee and hate em' both..they slow down my pc so bad...what is the best, cheapest and fastest? Need some help friends...I loved my new laptop until I updated my current McAfee..now it's sooooo slow..I'm ready for a change.
By the way..I have a Gateway, AMD Turion, Dual Core. It's a new one, bought 1 yr ago..so it's fast, and loaded..PLEASE HELP..and thanks

I am thinking of getting rid of my phone line altogether as the only reason I use it is to keep my computer running on dial up.
I now own a laptop computer with a wireless router .
Could someone give me basic information about wireless internet? How much should it be? is it unlimited? what are the good points and bad points of wireless? that sort of thing.

Ive taken some 'practice' film footage on my mobile and uploaded them on to the computer. However i cant seem to get them on windows movie maker... Is this possible?
I know their not good quality but like i said theyre only practice

it plays other burnt dvds the white ones from illusion but i tried playing one from magnum and its not playing. what could be wrong. i'm getting a laptop today and i'm afraid it has the same problem i'd really appreicate any real help. thanks much

Whoever answer this question definately have to walk me through it step by slow step. So far I have downloaded the new yahoo messenger skins and I have installed winzip. But, I totally get confused from that point on. I do not know where to go to put the files into the C Programs/yahoo/messenger/skins part. So please be patient enough to walk me through it word for word. I am not good with computer programming at all . Thanx!!!!

I've just spent half an hour TRYING to sign up to YouTube...
Everytime I get to the "username" (let alone the password !!)
I get "unavailable" I've even tried hitting the keyboard in a completley random fashion....."unavailable" I tried words in french, spanish, even catalan....."unavailable"
Are they just ******* with my head, or am i doing something wrong?

I have employees who need to share 3 printers. The printers all have RJ45 ethernet ports. Does anyone know how we can do this without unplugging the cables each time one of the users needs to print?

Tech help said that because it beeped 3 times when I powered the comupter that the RAM has failed, so I'm about to replace the RAM on my emachine. What else am I going to need to do?

So I am going to get a check deposited into my bank account that I would like to transfer that money into my paypal account. Then I want to have another paypal account with my name just a different bank account and send it to there. Can I do that? It's because I can't go and deposit my check to the 2nd bank because I have moved but I want to still keep that account open so paypal would be my only solution.

what Trayapp means. I get it everytime i turn on my computer. It comes up in a little box, stating - windows installer trayapp then i have to cancel it for about 7 or 8 times then i get logged on. I have tried a system restore, but that didn't work, Any ideas. I'm on windows XP if that helps. It's not causing any problems with the computer it's just annoying that I have to go through this each time, when i never used to. Any help would be appreciated.... Many Thanks

Hi, all of a sudden my pc sound hisses. I uninstalled the audio driver and installed the audio driver again but it still remained the same. I have an onboard sound card and I also have a 5.1 surround system. What can cause the hiss? Thank you

under network connections on my computer where it has the type of connection, status, and device name...the status is something like "connected, firewall, shared" and the device name is "linksys" something or other. what does "shared" mean? I am NOT sharing internet connection with any other computer. I know linksys makes routers...but there is no linksys router connected to the computer! my brother has attempted to hook up a linksys router so his desktop can share internet with my computer but he hasnt had any luck and i think he has installed the software for the router on the computer. do i have to get rid of the "shared" and the "linksys" so i can hook up my own router? If i do, how to i do it?
