My LAC isn't working. I accidentally tugged the ethernet cord on my laptop. I plug the same cord using the same jack into another computer and it works, but not on my laptop. What can I do?

If you are using XP, go to your Control Panel, then go to Network Connections. You may have to go to Network and Internet Connections to get there if you're in category view.

Once you're in there, you should have a local area connection icon. Right click on it and left click on Repair. You may only have to just click enable.

If that doesn't work, it could be the port went bad.

try a different cable as sometimes these ports begin to "loosen" up over time and with your "tugging" it may just pushed it over the edge. I have seen this a few times and the newer plugs, generally, that you buy now seem to have just a little more girth to make it work.
