hello i'm putting a brand new computer together. the motherboard is an asus crosshair, processor amd black edition 6400 3.2, video card is an 8800 nvidia geforce 640 mb. one 150 gb hardrive raptor and a segate 300 gb, a regular dvd burner and 2 gb of ram ddr2 ocz platinum, and a 700 watts rocketfish power supply. here is my problem i have everything ready plug in but when i try to turn on the computer nothing turns on, i mean everything is turn off i don't hear the hardrives runing neither the fans. so what i did was i unplug the 8800 video card, and try to turn the pc on again guess what everything turn on, so i'm thinking i need another power supply, which is weird because i don't think 700 watts is not enogh for what i'm running, so i plug the video card back and nothing wouldnt turn on so i'm really pissed off right now. if there is anybody there that has some sort of advice please let me know asap thanks

my tv is already set to s-video and everything is connected correctly
my laptop is an ibm t40 think pad
my graphics card is a standard VGAgraphics adapter
chip type ATI mobility radeon7500 w/e means i dont know if that will help any thanks alot

hi there i have got a compaq presario and i am trying to system recovery it the thing is that i have checked on tools for system recovery program i have also rebooted it while pressing F10 but it jus doesnt work i dont think it needs cd because i used to do it without any cd's but now it jus wont work PLEASEE HELPP!!!!

The local drive is using the NTFS format and the recovery drive is using the FAT32 format. Should I convert this drive to the NTFS. It has 13% free space, not enough for the 15% required to defragment it. If i format it, will it erase the drive's contents, because it is my system recovery after all. some one help

Hey,
I just upgraded from windows xp to vista and i have a 3 in 1 HP PSC 2355..I tried scanning images to my computer ( all the plugs are connected well) and a screen came up saying that the software did not support anything for the new windows i was using..

What am I supposed to do now, I really need to scan stuff for my professor tomorrow and i totally 4got about this...Any advice would be appreciated..

Everytime it starts up, it doesn't go anywhere but it says that some file like WINDOWS/CONFIG32/SYSTEM/SETUP or something like that is either missing or corrupt.
My brother took my computer a week ago to fix someone else's hard drive and I didn't think he'd break it because he's on the Geek Squad but now it won't work.
And it says to press "r" to begin repair but everytime I do it just restarts and goes back to the same screen.
If he screwed my computer up, I'll seriously hurt him.
So how deep of crap is it in?
Will I be able to save my files without having to take it to a computer expert and pay a crapton of money?

Maybe it's my generation (X), but I don't see the point in doing a glorified web page about yourself with pics and blogs and whatever else when you can always just chat or email with friends. Why do this kind of stuff over a myspace page when it actually seems easier (to me) to connect with people over email and chat?

Could those that use these sites alot tell me what I'm missing? I'll go crank up the 360 and myspace site if I really am missing something, but I can't see it. Must be the glaucoma in my eyes since I'm so friggin old???

Problem : I have a word document with tables defined. In each cell there are texts. When I do a click that highlights only a particular cell and paste it in Notepad, the entire table row's text is pasted!

Why is that so? Some documents will work with the desired paste (just the text in the highlighted cell), some will not.

I'm not sure where to check... Can someone enlighten me?

i'm trying to make a site where certain pages are tableless. i was to use pure css.. but have a 'table' style apperance. i've designed the page with several divs with fixed widths.. using the float feature. some of these div's are to contain user submitted content.. so.. i'm having an issue with embedded images either exceding the width of the div.. or getting cut off by the right side. is there anyway to have a div stretch to the width of its content.. and default to the fixed width if no content stretches it?

I have moved Outlook Express Data file ( more than 100 *.dbx files ) from one pc ( pc name : 1'st ) to another P.C ( 2'nd ) via Local Area Connections.

After that i have verified outlook Express files moved or not. Yes it is moved correctly to the 2'nd pc.
Note : The 2'nd pc does not contain any outlook express data, e-mail account etc.,

Now In 2'nd pc I opened outlook express & i selected the Store Folder, Clicked the Change. Now I selected the Location where i moved the files from 1'st pc.

After that i closed Outlook Express & re-loaded. Now there is no e-mail in outlook Express, So i closed outlook express.

I once i again i verify the moved folder, it shows only 5 - 6 files in that.

Please reply how to get my .dbx files which is more that 100 files. Please reply

Someone has removed (by accident ) the drivers I need to connect to the internet (example conexant, v.9x D/F/V PCI Modem, Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). How do I reinstall them? Will I have to buy a new hard drive and start fresh? By-the-way, I am running WindowsXP Home Edition.

I'm working on a excel program that will allow my Construction business to electronically database our bid system. My idea is to have a main page in excel that will have columns labeled Date, Due Date, and Job Name. Every time a job is going to be bid we add it to this sheet.

From here I need to have the JOB NAME entered manually to be automatically copied(by code or if/than) to another sheet Alphabetically(Other sheets will be A,B,C,D,E,F,G all the way to Z.

Therefore if I enter Trump tower on the Main page it will copy it over to the "T" page automatically.

If I enter Airport on the Main page it will copy it over to the "A" page automatically

If there is a way to do this let me know.
