Why can't I print a black and white page, if I don't have any blue ink left?

All I want to do is print a word document that only has black text! I have more than half a cartridge of black ink, but because I am all out of blue it won't let me print! Why? I don't understand! Is there any way to get it to print?

Because as well as being the INK, the ink also lubricates and cools the print head systems, and if it allows you to print "some stuff" with out ink in 1 line, it will KILL the print heads pretty darned quick.

switch the cartidges of ink
