I already have a wireless router, but I am getting a gaming laptop and I think wired speeds would be better for that, but my wireless router is stuck in one corner of the house, and my wireless router and modem are right next to each other. I was wondering whether I should attach the new wired router to my existing wireless router (that has 4 ethernet ports) or if I should attach it directly to my modem?

If you don't understand it, You could also put it like this: I am running out of wired ethernet ports on my wireless router. I figured that a wired router would fix that. Should I hook the new wired router up to my router (so that they will be connected to the same network) or should I attach it to my modem?

I'm having a problem with my computer. It has an extremely small hard drive (just 18.6 GB, insteadof something like 60 or 100 GB) and it only has 160 MB of space left. I've been uninstalling programs and deleting files like crazy, but still the free space keeps decreasing. Is this the work of a virus? What should I do?

If it helps at all, my computer is a 5 year old IBM Thinkpad.

PLEASE HELP ME. I don't know what's wrong with my machine.

m computer is heavily infected with spyware, and i have no idea how to get rid of it.
i have ad aware, and windows defecter
but they arent helping.
can someone tell me a really good program to remove spyware with?

and btw, i dont know how i would even dowload it, becuase my internet isnt even working on the infected computer.
i had to go upstairs to my other computer to even go to yahoo.

so i dont know what i need to do. please help?!!?!?

I'm a total newbie at html flash script all that stuff. I want to know if anyone knows an easy to use (i.e. need to know nothing about html) html script editor/maker (idk what it's called) that I can make an "application" (like lets say for example one of those games on myspace profiles) easily. What I actually want to make is something where you upload your iTunes library file into the thing and people can go on your profile and there'll be an iPod and you can look through it and it'll have the names, artists, etc. of all of your songs on iTunes. I think it'll be a good idea.

I have an Acer Aspire 3100+ with Windows Xp and Service Pack 2. For some reason, it doesn't detect any wireless networks out there. It has a built in wireless card which is a "Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter" it shows the device is working properly. I have two other computers : a desktop and a wireless Dell that are connected to the internet. The desktop is wired on it. I'm using a U.S Robotics USR5461 wireless router with AT&T DSL connection. I have searched everywhere to see how to get this laptop connected wirelessly but still nothing worked. One thing though: I went to the Services option in Adminstrative Tools (Control Panel) to Enable the "Windows Zero Configuration Utility". It showed that it was already 'Automatic' and 'Started'. This is supposed to make a "Windows Zero Configuration Utility" icon when I go to Control Panel. But there is no such icon there. I know there its supposed to be because I saw it my Dell laptop. My router has also set all wireless devices to connect

Ok. I have a E machines PC. 60 gig hardrive. I have fragmented and ran disc clean up. Ive uninstalled a ton of programs that I dont use. I have about 6 gigs of music and 2 gigs of games. I cant figure out what is taking up so much room! I have only 3% space avaiable! Please help!

So yeah, I tried to remove my floppy drive.. I took it out along with the power and Floppy Data Cable...

When I did that, I reset the BIOS config, and set it back to normal(jumpers)

then I try to turn it on...

I get a few beeps

and nothing shows up on the screen...

it kinda smells like something burnt iono

I am trying to setup and configure Wireless Internet Access for Motel. Describe-The business has four computer and network together. The business has one modem and one router with two LAN block. The building itself is concrete except walkway is open. Security is key to protect the business and customers due hackers,creackers, unwanted guest. I am thinking the business wil need upto 8 to 12 access points. Format option- Router to Firewall to Switch to Access Point. Option 2) Router to Router to Switch to Access Point. The reason is assign static ip address for second router to keep guest off the main network & computers. Is possible??. Option 3) Router to Router (Daisy chain).
Please help me. Suggestion, answers (right)

Have an eMachines S2482. Dead - no power, pulled out the supply, definitely toast. Replaced with a 500w. Still won't come on. The new PS fan will not come on either. From reading answers, I gather the next step is the motherboard. My question - if we replace the MB, will I need to reinstall the OS, and will the recovery CD's do this? Thanks!!!
