tell me Apart from plugging it in, what I have to do to charge the batteries? I am useing it to type this so it works ok but I have it plugged in to the power. I know that the batteries are good because it worked until the batteries run out. Is there a button or something that I have to press? I am a bit stupid so bear with me. I have a wireless router, does this affect it in any way? Help and thanks

in computers we defined a special voltage as "1", and a special voltage as "0" ... why we use 0 and 1 in computers ?! why we don`t define some other voltages as other numbers and use them in computers?!--- excuse me if my question had grammatical problems!---

So I tried restarting (deleting all files and whatnot) my computer and it worked fine except for a couple of things.
1. All of my hardware was not installed because it didnt have the drivers, so I had to download the drivers.
2. After I did this, everything was fine except for when I was like scrolling through IE/Firefox or moving opened folders around, it would "lag"... So I was told my video driver wasnt installed.
3. I downloaded it and in attempts to fix things, ended up disabling the driver. When I restarted my computer, the monitor showed stuff up to the WINDOWS logo, then it would proceed to load things, but I couldnt see anything.
4. I went into the BIOS to "fix" things... and did SOMETHING to where now I cant see ANYTHING on the screen when I turn it on... Nothing, not even the stuff before the WINDOWS loading-logo...
I'm not sure, but I think I changed the video adapter from like "SLOT" to "INTEGRATED"... (Again though, I'm not 100% positive)
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE

It is samsung 18X DVD RW DL burner black, I hooked up the burner, but the computer doesn't detect the new hardware and the burner doesn't work, also there is no icon on 'my computer', What can I do ?? I don't have any installation ****.

I am really wondering and researching a lot on this one! I wanted to purchase a MBP at the end of November, but now all of these rumors are saying that new, slimmer, re-designed MBPs will be announced at the MacWorld Expo. So, what should I do? Thanks a LOT for all the answers!

I have worked on the Mac for 17 years but recently, in order not to look like a person hanging on to the past, had the IT people get me a Dell running XP.

While it's ok, it's not easy at all. It feels old compared to OSX. OSX is fast, quick and easy.....Productive.

The XP is very limited, very cumbersome.

When I plug into the mac.....it's fun......PC......not so fun.

XP seems pretty stable, OS is very stable. When I travel, the XP has a hard time connecting to the wireless conncetion in the hotel room, the mac.....no problem.

I don't have to check a bunch of boxes and change a bunch of settings. Again, sometimes it works, most of the time no.

Drag and drop: Mac, easy. XP, sometimes easy, sometimes not so easy, sometimes easy but VERY slow. Sometimes not easy and VERY slow.

Icons, Folders, etc: mac, make them any size you want, XP, five choices unless you change the entire screen size.

When will corporate American embrace the Mac? It's just more productive AND fun!!!!!!!!!

Ok, im trying to put my computer together but for some reason my computer wont turn on. Now i think it may be the harddrive. There are 3 things that can be pluged into it, one for the motherboard which i have put in, two for what seems to be the power supply, and three some other slot of a cable. It looks like 2 rows with 4 little pins sticking out( like this :::: ). Not sure if i need to use it or not and when i ordered my computer, no book came with the harddrive.......... well if anyone can help me out to what it is and whats it for.

this cd is meant only for 1 computer. after i installed it, the software asked for online registration. so i did. now it wont work on any othe computer. now the prob is that i will have to format my hard drive. so after i reinstall windows and all things how can i make the cd work. it wont even now get registered as it already is registered. what do i do. i cant buy the cd again.

this annoying message pops up EVERY time i try to open ANY application..from word to internet explorer..how on earth do i get rid of it without having to reinstall cos i do not have the microsoft office 2003 installation CD.
i press cancel and it goes away but its very annoying!
tried chainging the CDCache to 0 in registry, but still doesnt work!
PLEASE HELP!!
