I'd installed Samsung Burner SA1820 in my computer, how to set up without disk and no new hardware detected.

It is samsung 18X DVD RW DL burner black, I hooked up the burner, but the computer doesn't detect the new hardware and the burner doesn't work, also there is no icon on 'my computer', What can I do ?? I don't have any installation ****.

1. Cables are connected properly

2. Came with drivers & other software, and you installed them

3. If not, see below

4. It should be recognized by Windows

If not, it may be defective. Exchange it at the store where you bought it.

If it's not defective, check the rest of your system, starting with the BIOS firmware.
