The ram might be a little on the low side....Xp operating system you might get by....I would try to at least go with two gigs of ram...Xp requires about 512 just for the OS...generally take the recommendations of Microsoft( for the OS) and double it to get decent performance...I don't know how processor intensive music programs can be but you will get less lag with more ram...
