I have worked on the Mac for 17 years but recently, in order not to look like a person hanging on to the past, had the IT people get me a Dell running XP.

While it's ok, it's not easy at all. It feels old compared to OSX. OSX is fast, quick and easy.....Productive.

The XP is very limited, very cumbersome.

When I plug into the mac.....it's fun......PC......not so fun.

XP seems pretty stable, OS is very stable. When I travel, the XP has a hard time connecting to the wireless conncetion in the hotel room, the mac.....no problem.

I don't have to check a bunch of boxes and change a bunch of settings. Again, sometimes it works, most of the time no.

Drag and drop: Mac, easy. XP, sometimes easy, sometimes not so easy, sometimes easy but VERY slow. Sometimes not easy and VERY slow.

Icons, Folders, etc: mac, make them any size you want, XP, five choices unless you change the entire screen size.

When will corporate American embrace the Mac? It's just more productive AND fun!!!!!!!!!

Its true. Windows makes me very sad and then I just end up getting frustrated because of the slowness. What makes me really sad though is that you felt like you had to move to the future with XP. Have you seen how much Apple is growing lately? I would have seen tossing the mac in 96 when they were huge clunkers, but now they are small, light, and beautiful. They are the wave of the future.
I don't know about you, but when I see a member of the opposite sex using a mac in corporate america, I think it's hot! It shows me that they don't like to go with the flow and that they think a little differently-smarter that is! My advice: go back to mac if it makes you happy. This life is way to short to get mad at Bill Gates ,or your computer for that matter. Think about how much productivity time your losing!..Really.

computing device each of ways. Macs are very costly for the overall performance they provide. human beings shop announcing macs don't get viruses etc etc. fairly of paying ~+500$ for an equivalent mac, in simple terms get a 40$ Antivirus for 2-3 years, or get a unfastened one. you need to use a digital gadget software to get entry to pages into yet another OS that isn't injury your computing device. Imo, macs are a waste of money.you won't be in a position to even play greater moderen video games on account which you elect a domicile windows digital gadget. Their suited IMac ( i7, 2gbddr5 image that's well worth like 2000$) Laggs somewhat on COD5 whilst a 1400$-ish gaming computing device does the activity o.k..

I utterly hate Macs. Maybe because you have worked on them for 17 years they are easier for you, but they are just a pain. so much of the Mac is not logical and I just got fed up with it and got myself a PC.

My college has both Mac and PC labs for the people that prefer one or the other. Some like Macs, other PC's... but personally, i tried embracing a Mac and I hated it
