i tried renabling my hibernate feature on my vista pc but it tells me i dont have the permission to do so, but this is my laptop and im the only user on it with no other accounts.

ps. i did it from the command prompt

I needed to uninstall something from my laptop and when i did...it said that a system reboot is necessary. If i were to reboot it, would i lose the information on my laptop or does it just restart your laptop the way that the restart button? And what exactly does rebooting do?

My friend has a computer and its an HP and has Windows XP. When she boots up the computer, the monitor says "No signal". I checked all the wires in back and all the connections and everything seems fine, i dont know why its not working. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have an old computer that I want to completly take everything off of it so that my kids learning cds are the only thing on them, that way if they hit a wrong button they will not destroy everything on my computer. Does anyone know how to do that?

So we just moved in with my husbands parents house. They've got an internet connection and now im so confused on what i need 2 connect my desktop and laptop wirelessly. I am looking for a christmas gift for my girlfriend. I want to get her something that can let her surf the internet but I dont want to spend alot and I dont think she needs a whole computer/laptop. Shes not very good with computers and I just wanted to get her something that she can use with my home wi-fi and lets her shop online or look up you tube videos (things like that). I just reformatted my cdrive and for some reason when I got all my windows updates, and such, I run antisyware, antivirus, no bugs, spyware, BUT now when ever I use ie it freezes for 10-30 seconds and then i can scroll through the page and when i switch pages or navigate through different open windows and try to change to the next page, I freezes.... So annoying!!! PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE MY PC ENDS UP THROUGH THE BEDROOM WINDOW!!!

Hi I need to have an If function that works like this:

=IF(C4="Yes", "=(10-A1)", Ok)

The bit that does not work is the forumla. Is there a way to make a formula work in an If function? If there is tell me how to do it please. If not how could i get reults similar to an if function using a different method. Thanks

The memory card is not corrupt or damaged. I have deleted a few pictures. Usually when I retrieve pictures I either move or cut them to another folder. I would like to know of any programs or websites or companies that could help me with my problem. It is a Memory Stick Duo.

I am not able to retrieve data from my HD because I have reformatted it three times already.
