Hello,

I am looking for a christmas gift for my girlfriend. I want to get her something that can let her surf the internet but I dont want to spend alot and I dont think she needs a whole computer/laptop. Shes not very good with computers and I just wanted to get her something that she can use with my home wi-fi and lets her shop online or look up you tube videos (things like that). Is there anything out there that I can get her that isn't like $600

How about a MacMini. It's in your price range. Maybe hooked up to an HDTV. Would be great for shopping and watching YouTube (even editing and uploading to YouTube).

If you've got access to the internet check out Amazon.com for laptops & mobile phones that have inbuilt technology for internet access.
The prices at Amazon are very competitive plus you will get absa graphic details of what a product will do etc & consumer ratings from previous purchasers which will give you guidance & confidence to help you make the right decision for the money you want to spend.

YOu can find hundreds of good 'version back' laptops on the net for much less than that.

Many times, offices will upgrade as a matter of course and really good equipment is surplussed and sold off. If you look around, you can find a lot of these on the internet (or local discount houses etc) for pennies on the dollar. I recently bought a Pentium 4 laptops for a mere $50.
