I needed to uninstall something from my laptop and when i did...it said that a system reboot is necessary. If i were to reboot it, would i lose the information on my laptop or does it just restart your laptop the way that the restart button? And what exactly does rebooting do?

Reboot and restart are the same. It won't hurt anything.

However, "restore" wipes off all files, so it's good you asked!!!!

re-booting shuts the power and operating system off then automatically turns the power and O/S back on.

Restart only restarts the operating system. Power remains on.

its same as restarting and it want harm any files
