I just reformatted my cdrive and for some reason when I got all my windows updates, and such, I run antisyware, antivirus, no bugs, spyware, BUT now when ever I use ie it freezes for 10-30 seconds and then i can scroll through the page and when i switch pages or navigate through different open windows and try to change to the next page, I freezes.... So annoying!!! PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE MY PC ENDS UP THROUGH THE BEDROOM WINDOW!!!

There is no IE9 at present. The most recent version of Internet Explorer is IE7.

You may also have insufficient system resources for everything that you are trying to run. It's important to note that everything takes RAM. Not only security products (such as active anti-spyware, anti-virus and firewall) eat up memory but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word, Gaming, Messenger, Photoshop, etc), graphic card and malware all compete for system resources. The presence of Malware (viruses, spyware, etc) will particularly eat up your system resources so you may want to run your resident security products such as antispyware and antivirus applications to ensure that your system is clean.

If you can elaborate such as indicating which security software you have installed, which operating system you have and the amount of RAM installed, someone may be able to answer with more specifics.

As far as I know, the current release of IE is version 7, you might want to uninstall 9 and reinstall 7 if yours says it's a version 9 it's possibly not authentic.

Please try using a freeware windows optimizer like ccleaner or awc personal. They really solve this freezing problems
