here is the storie. i got a sata hard drive 250 gig. i then discovered that it needed a card to inerface with MY computer. i got a sata card that accepts 2 sata drives. i guess they copie one another. well i put the win 98 disk into the cd drive and it started to format the sata drive. it then went into theinstallation mode and copied the first set of files onto the sata drive. then it rebooted and when it came back on it displayed the win 98 logo and that is all, nothing further and it acts like the computer is locked up, no keboard action works.
i will put xp pro on it as soon as i get win98 to boot up completely. i don't have the xp boot cd at this time only the upgrade. don't want to go out and get a new mother board or computer for this if i don't have to i will just get a different drive. again thanks.

I heard it gives people viruses, but I also heard it only gives viruses (or whatever) if you download songs. All she did was install it, will it do anything harmful? And how exactly do I get rid of it?

Previously I had millions of colors. I've reverted everything, the monitor drivers are fine (and unchanged). I used windows system restore more than once and set it to a sooner date. I've obviously tried desktop settings-->resolution, but still 32 bit and 16 bit are my only choices. There are no update drivers for my monitor (though it's just a plug and play, so I'm sure there is no problem there).
Using Windows XP, with >100 gb of free space.
Integrated ATI radeon express 200
3500+ amd athlon 64 processor

Anyways, colors are weird and it's bothering me.

I have another computer upstaires with internet...but i wanaa hook up the DI to my downstaires comp Because my 360 is downstaires... Is there a way to hook it up with a comp with no internet or is there a way to still play live without instaliing it... but most importantly tryin to install to my comp with out no connection.. or the cable( can i get the cable cause i do pay for internet)

I have an older model monitor. Its nota flatscreen or any of the newer kind. It is a "Tangent" 16 inch. It works good until I am watching DVD`s on it. If I am watching a black and white movie after awhile it will get really dark. So dark it just ruins the movie watching. I have tried to find a way to lighten it but have failed to do so. I have looked everywhere on it, but there is nowhere to lighten it. No contrast or anything. Would anyone have any help please. Any ideas at all would be welcome.

My computer came pre-loaded and the hard drive is partitioned for drives HP C: and Recovery D:

I sometimes get a message to create a Recovery disk. If click on the button it says to have something like 20 CDs ready.

Do I need to make these Recovery CDs, or do I create a new recovery disk on D:? How do I do that? Is there instructions somewhere?

Is the Recovery drive D: being used and for what? I don't understand why so many recovery requirement. Or is it referring to the same thing?

I wanted to connect my Macbook to the internet via an ethernet cable, so I disconnected my desktop's ethernet cable from my Motorola SB5101 Cable Modem, then plugged in my laptop. I ran the network diagnostics program on my Macbook went through several steps, then it told me to restart my modem, which I am unaware of how to do.

Does anyone know how to restart this cable modem, or better yet, some help for a new laptop owner who would like to connect to the internet using a wired connection?

I use a canon ip1800 printer.

I recently had it refilled, about 2 weeks ago, didn't print enough for it to run out of ink.

Now it says it won't recognize the ink, I'm not sure if I should just go buy new printer cartridges or not.

Ok it took me 1 hour to take this picture. I had to get the lighting right and the glue right. And I know some people think this picture is weird but I really love it. well basically when eve ri want to record or voice chat the mic not only reocrd my voice but also the speakers and so when i talk or make a nise it echos uncontrolably until it makes an crazy high picth sound! ahh im frustraded

I just bought a new modem box "motorola" and everyday it disconnects me and it doesnt get back on till about 6 hours or so. I unplug my stuff and wait for 5 minutes and plug it back in but still nothing anyone know how to fix my problem??
