Although 8600GT is DX10, its performance is below those of the 2 cards indicated. The GTS comes closer.

You could try overclocking your 8600GT and just play at low settings to get acceptable framerates:

RAM: 1GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

Recommended Requirements

CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800 or ATI X1800 (SM 3.0)
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)

You should be doing great except you really should have bought a 7600GT over that 8600GT. DX9 would have been ok and the 8600GT is a total dog by comparison.

You are going to need a processor upgrade. Not a big deal, you can pick up a nice one from NewEgg for a hundred USD or so. Just make sure your motherboard supports it.

EDIT: Opps, make that 100-200 USD. They did not drop in price as much as I thought.

As long as the processor you have is dual-core, the rest looks fine. I don't know if they demo those type of games, you could check their website though.

Yes, the game will run but you wont get the performance.

why not get CoreDuo, a few more bucks is worth it if you really want this game.
