Anyone managed to get a nagios client and or server working with windows? Are there any guides about? I'd quite like to monitor things like HDD space on various LAN PC's. Nagios has lots of linux support but considerbly less windows support, just a quick guide will do.

Look I just need to know since im buying a mac this coming christmas. Witch ma should i get. Im going to use it partly for school and partly for the the "fun stuff" (like internet pictures movies music ichat ect.). I have heard alot about all of the macs (macbook, imac, mac mini, macbook pro) and they are all mixed. Some say "this is a great product and i highly reccomend it, ive had no problems with it". Others say, "im very dissapointed the apple OS crashed on me and its a very unsatisfying product." WHO SHOULD I BELEIVE?

i downloaded the unregisteredhypercam 2 at download.com so im trying to install it but it says map network drive and i dont know what folder to get and which one is good i click browse and see these folders but dont know how to put them there and then the drive says letters from a to z so i dont know much about that either so please someone help me lol thanks

Once I open the program and select the drive (D:) or (C:) to clean the window dissapears and does not continue to the next step.

I tried opening the task manager while using Disk Clean up to see if it was still running but the application closes itself before I can use it.

Govt spent something like $84M in setting up a **** filter only to find that a schoolboy cracked it and the boy said "a better filter could be encoded for a few million dollars only"! What security do we really have over the data on internet is what worries me?

My wireless connection keeps going off. When the connection goes down I go to the Control Panel and Network Connections and repair the connection and it usually comes right back.

Is my problem a weak signal or is my PCI card too old and not adequately picking up a strong signal? Would getting a new antenna for the PCI card make a difference?

I am trying to show a web feed from the pc to the lcd tv. I have the correct cable and I went into display properties and i can get the lcd tv to just show the desktop background shot only. It will not allow me to use the lcd as the primary monitor. Any ideas?

With my Desktop PC, I was using WindowsXP BACKUP, making a backup copy of a seperate small hard drive (for a laptop), and I burned the image file onto a DVD.

So I wanted to test it, by unpacking all of the files into a temporary folder on my desktop PC. Everything worked out fine, until I wanted to delete the temporary folder.

A folder called "System Volume Information" is there, and it will not allow me to remove it. It is just in a temporary folder that I created from scratch.

I tried safe mode, I tried NTSF DOS software, and anything similar to that. No luck. I am screwed!

Any help out there is appreciated.

I love playing online games. Especially the 3d ones. But, to make this not be a humongous post, ill just say any 3d game i try to play now is choppy. I have an Emachines T5082 ( i know, it sucks ) with pretty basic stuff ( 512 mb ram, 3.0 GHz cpu, and a ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics card) also, i have a 32-bit windows vista OS. ive done all the anti virus and spyware stuff so i know that's not it, and ive freed up a ton of space on my hard drive by doing some tweaks. Now i need to know what is THE BEST graphics card or whatever i need to get 3d games to run smoothly? Also, i want to DOWNLOAD it. Either post downloads or send me money. You must have DVD software installed on your computer to play DVDs. Please ensure the DVD software that come with your computer or DVD is properly installed, before attempting to play your DVD.

So now what do I do?
I dont have any software with me?

(I have real player with me, but it did not work)

From where do I down load the software?
Which software to download?

Or any thing else I need to do. Please tell me.

Currently I have a system consisting of an Athlon 64 3000+ processor, with 1gb RAM and a Radeon 9600 series graphics card.

For a budget of around £1000, what processor, motherboard, ram and gfx card combo would you recommend upgrading to, that would make gaming much more fun to play, without having to lower all the graphical settings, resolution, and use scripts to remove certain things in order to ensure the smooth running of it?

My Dell laptop works alright off of the battery ,which is dying out
