I am trying to show a web feed from the pc to the lcd tv. I have the correct cable and I went into display properties and i can get the lcd tv to just show the desktop background shot only. It will not allow me to use the lcd as the primary monitor. Any ideas?

My pc with win xp will not allow me to make it a primary. When I click the button the lcd loses even the desktop background. It also will not allow me to identify the second monitor(lcd) as #2> It just will not take the signal. John

It turned out to be the video card driver. It needed to be upgraded. I thought it was thru windows but when I went to the card's web site I found another driver and downloaded that one and it worked perfectly. Thanks all, John

Hiya John,

If your connection is with an S-Video cable then it will not let you make it the primary. It does not have to be the primary to view your web feed. When you see the background only, it means that it is working but where is the extended desktop in relation to your primary? In display properties, if it is on the left, open a browser window and drag it to the left, it should appear in the TV screen. Open the web feed in that browser and your good.

What is the correct cable that you are using? This may help in answering. Also what model LCD TV?

GOOD LUCK!!

Hi. Make the LCD your primary monitor. Most software that supports dual monitors will allow this.
