i was wondering if there was any way to use my fax machin as a printer i love the fax machine adn how it prints but all it has is the phone jacks nothing ells

I have a Samsung Blackjack that I frequenlty connect to my PC for recharging and file transferring. As long as my phone has some power this works fine. When the device has no power the USB port doesn't recognize that I have plugged anything into it and doesn't start recharging my phone. Unfortunately, today the battery is completely dead and I do not have access to my normal charger. Normally, this isn't an issue, as I just go to my car and recharge the phone for a minute or so to get power. Is there a way on a WinXP PC to force a USB port to send power to a device or to trick the port into thinking there is a device there?

I dont want any bias answers. I want to get a amd turion 64 X2 mobile processor. but i keep hearing intel has a way better processor. is it really that much better. all i'll be doing is school stuff, surfing, and video streaming ( from youtube or whatever), and i'll download music and store pictures. will it make that much of a difference. what does the processor even effect ?
im getting 1.80 ghz

When i go onto youtube and click login, I type in my username and psswrd and enter it. Then it like refreshes the screen and it brings me back to where i just was. And im still not logged in. It is the correct password because i created a new account and it had the same problem. Ive had this problem for a week or so. This is a new laptop im using.

I just bought a Sony Vaio VGN FZ145E laptop from Best Buy. The sales guy told me there was a docking station available (there are only three USB ports on my computer) but that Best Buy did not have any at the time. He told me to check back. Well Best Buy still does not have any nor do any electronic or computer stores. I've searched on-line and called The Sony Style store. The Sony store only carries the latest models. I just bought the darn thing less than two months ago. I've tried E-bay and Amazon. I really need some more USB Ports. What should I do?

I bought my teenaged son a used laptop. I bought windows xp and installed it. He apparently ignored the nag screen that came up reminding him to activate his copy of xp. Now, it has expired and he cannot sign on to the system. Since it won't let him into windows, there is no way to connect to the internet to activate it(at least that's what it looks like). Any way to activate now or am I going to have to reinstall? (I don't want to do that)!

Hi, this may be hard to explain. I want to become good with computers so that I can get into the FBI. I downloaded python and tried it out. I want to know how to actually do stuff useful. Also, is it possible to be a computer wizard in the FBI and still go on the field to make arrest and stuff, or do I have to choose? If anyone could give me advice on computers, how to become good, websites, books, (free) programs, tips, anything!!! I really want to be able to do cool stuff. I downloaded a soundwav recorder called Recordpad, but it doesn't allow me to edit how big the file is. It's pretty much a plain jane recorder. I'm not looking for anything fancy but just something where perhaps the .wavs won't turn out as a huge file to the point where it will take a long time to download. Is there a Laptop I can buy for under $1000 that has a really good video card for watching HD movies and a little gaming? ... Im looking to spend $800, but all the laptops I see come with either the Go 6100 and Media accelerator 950. Both of these are horrible. My mom has a 6100 in her laptop and cant play 720p movie trailers smoothly.
