the reason behind this madness is because i want to help others with vista also someday they'll perfect it (hopefully) and i'll have gotten to know it inside and out

yes you can install vista and XP, but the question is why? vista is totally useless and has lots of problems do some research before you decide to install vista..

Once you have installed Vista and things go wrong then you could have big problems,,,

I have over 30yrs computer experience and I would not install Vista on my computers, even if Bill Gates personally give me a copy, thats how much I trust Vista, and by the way I don't have ms windows on any of my computers anyway, I don't wast my time on second rate expensive operating systems and I am not a mac user either.

Yeah sure, you can do a dual boot. Vista takes up about 12gb and XP about 4gb so together you would need about 16gb of disk space.
