Every time I watch an animated movie on my laptop the lighter images leave long lasting shadows on the darker areas of the animation.

Why does this happen? It gets annoying and it's hard to ignore. Is there something I can do to make it stop?

i wanted to watch this video on the internet, and it said i had to install this direcct x thing. so i installed it, but when i did i was horrified to realize it had infected my comp with all these adaware and spyware popups. does anyone know how to fix this? do i have to get one of the many adaware and spyware removers that constantly pop up on my comp to remove it?

I am wanting to display a video project on the wall like a picture frame, and would like to buy lcd screens outside of casing that can easily be hooked up to a computer and/or dvd player in a cabinet away from the display. Any ideas where I can find screens like this?

It's been about a month now and I've been wracking my brains trying to figure out what is wrong that I cannot connect to the internet as soon as 6pm hits. I've tried tricking the computer an changing the time but that doesn't work. I've tried taking off the firewall and putting it back on and still doesn't work. I've tried about a million other things including system restore to three months ago when I knew the internet definitely worked at any time but no success with that either. Does anybody have any clues or solutions as to what's going on with my cuckoo computer?

when i am using my built in wireless internet, it says the speed is 54mbps, is that good, also if i buy a wireless rangebooster notebook card that goes a 108mbps will my download speeds be faster, and will i be able to connect to my router from a little bit far away without having low signal, also whats the best wireless card that gives you a good download speed and wireless signal

Yes, I have dsl in fact, but since are phone bill has ran up, are internet service is shutting us off tommorow, that means not internet no phone. So my mother is going to get a Cell phone turned on, and now she wants to have the internet by itself, with no home phone needed to hook it up with. Is there any other service company, that dosen't need a home phone and you can just get the Internet by itself, out there? If there is, can you tell me how? Or can I just get the Dsl internet service by itself without having any phone connections? or does it need to run from something else?

I was just curious if this power supply would be enough to power a 8600gt or a hd 2600xt or even maybe a x1950pro. Also i have never delt with thermaltake before. Do they make good power supplies.

I am hesitating btw 13.3'' MacBook (2.16GHz Core 2 Duo 1GB/120GB/SuperDrive) and Sony VGN-FZ 190 (T7300, 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, 15.4" WXGA-HC).
I will work a lot with photos (editing with Photoshop and reviewing).
Specific questions (Sony vs MacBook):
1. Quality of monitor, 15.4" 1280X800 WXGA (HC) vs 13.3'' active-matrix 1280 x 800 TFT/XGA

2. NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GT vs Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM

3. T7300 (2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo) of Sony vs 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook

4. Vista (or XP) vs MacOS v10.4 Tiger

On the other hand, 15.4" vs 13.3'' (of course, on the price of:

• They might also have other significant differences that I just don’t understand enough to point out. Please help if I missed something important.

That's the extension for some (legal) mp3s I downloaded as a torrent. They won't play in windows media player or anything, and I don't know how to open them.

My CPU had a 1.2GHz processor, and 512RAM and I have a Cable Modem internet connection, and I have a very good anti-virus/anti-spyware program.

I do rutine clean-ups of my hard-drive, and overall my performance is pretty good whether I am opening folders or surfing the web.

Here is the problem - Up until a couple of weeks ago, I have been able to watch Youtube videos with no problem at all. I could click on the video and it would play uninterrupted.

Recently this changed dramatically.

Now when I click on a video, it takes a while to load, then it will play about 3 seconds then buffer for about 5 seconds, then play another 3 seconds, then buffer for 5 seconds, and it will do this all the way to the end.

Some things to note:
#1 This is not limited to Youtube - All videos from all sites behave this way.
#2 The performance of the rest of my computer, including web surfing is still pretty good.
#3 I just installed and additional 512RAM for a total of 1G and it didnt help.
