Nikon View (6.2.7) is a file manager and works similar to Windows Explorer and is very good for viewing thumbnails of your images. Nikon View does not do a very good job of moving/copying/deleting files.

Here's how to copy a file:

1. Select the file in Nikon View

2. Go to the File Menu and choose Copy...
or
right click the image and choose Copy...

3. This brings up a Copy file(s) dialog box, use the Browse button to locate the place you want to copy to and click Okay. Then click Start

Moving works the same way.

Use PowerPoint to insert images while running the program, not anything to do with Nikon View.

I don't use Nikon View for managing files on my hard disk, just for previewing and getting them from the memory card to the computer using Nikon Transfer. That does work well.

Nikon View is no longer sold/distributed or supported by Nikon. Nikon Picture Project is the new software and it sucks big time.

Hope this helps.

I think you can export or "save as" the photo from Nikon View to a jpg format. Save it to your desktop and then insert file into Powerpoint. MS Powerpoint prefers jpgs.
