Run Mac Apps On Windows

2016-09-30 21:11:19 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Legally you cannot run mac apps on windows because apple only allows them on macs Microsoft lets any computer run their shitty OS or illegally you can hackintosh but you then can't use wifi also it boots natively into OS X just buy a mac and dual boot windows PCs are more expensive in the long run also those who are saying use emulators that won't work VMWare is not an emulator and you wouldn't be able to because VMWare is a widely known company if they let you run OS X on a PC apple would sue their asses for all they've got

For the most part, you can't. There is a Windows emulator for Mac, so you can run Windows apps on Macs, but there's no equivalent that I know of to go the other way 'round.

This is, in part, because most Mac apps have a similar version on Windows, but not vice versa. Apps that run particularly well on Macs, like video editing, usually are best done on a Mac anyway, not an emulator. Finally there's a much bigger market for getting Windows onto Macs than the other way around.

Macs now use Intel processors, and people have had great success getting a powerful Mac and running both Mac and Windows from it, but you won't see it in reverse.

Ok first lets start out with the easy and legal answer.
You can't.

Now for the harder and less legal answer (it's only legal if you are a programmer for apple, I know someone who is so thats how I know about this).

First you get a Mac OS X x86 disc (this is a disc that will load Mac OS x on a intel and sometimes amd chipset computer, under Darwin) then install it (you can do a dual boot or just reformat your drive and start new) then after that you are ready to run the program.

Not the answer you were looking for? Let me explain why you can't just take a Aperture 1.5 DVD and put it into a Windows machine and press install for one its not the right os (notice some new programs wont run in Windows 98 because the os isn't new enough) also it's the wrong file type (windows - .exe, Mac - .dmg)

The best answer, just buy a Mac. You can always run Windows on a Mac.

You can't.
They are not designed to run on Windows. You need a Mac.

What you are looking for is a Macintosh emulator for the PC. I am not aware of any that are any good. I think the problem is a lot of the Mac basic operating system is hard wired into the chips the computer uses and it is illegal to copy them. Do a search of Macintosh emulator to see whats available.

You have to dualboot Mac in an emulator like VMWare or Virtualbox, torrent OSX or buy the disk, then export the .iso to VMWare :) gl
