I'm trying to decide between a 15" Macbook Pro or a Dell 1520. I've priced both of them out to have the same specs. except that the Dell only goes up to a 2.2 ghz Dual-Core processor instead of the 2.4 which apple offers. I'm a college student majoring in Mass Communication Technology with a certificate degree in computer animation and graphic design. The Macbook costs more even with the student discounts but I've been having issues with my desktop PC lately so I'm wondering if the apple OS would be the better choice. On my desktop I'm running windows XP and on the Dell Inspiron the only OS they offer is Windows Vista, of which I'm very scepticle. Anyway I figure I'd also get an mp3 player to go with the computers also, an 80 GB ipod if I go with apple, or a 30 GB Zune if I go with Dell. Apple's financing is much better than Dell's, but again the Apple is about a $1,000 bucks more than the Dell, even with all the trimmings, taxes n' such. Let me know what you'd get. Thanks.

I try to watch videos on my laptop and they freeze a lot. I have windows xp, and 2gb for my laptop. I am also using a wireless network if that has something to do with it. Videos sometimes freeze on my desktop too. If I pause videos on Youtube they don't buffer, and ask to replay about 2 minutes into the video. Windows media player freezes too. If I pause the video it makes no difference

I don't know what one of my MySpace friends doing. They denied my comments, woudn't message me back and post comments at my page. As I did last time during this year, I removed both security guy from The Jerry Springer Show , Tony Buoniconti who's a real estate agent and the Springer Show stage manager, Todd Schultz to ban them which is to block a user means to delete them from my friend list. I love dumping bad MySpace friends as a real lesson. Perhaps that'll teach them the lesson for pissing me off.

I have a trojan in my registry, It is called RDLL BACKDOOR TROJAN when I scan with the Bazooka scanner it finds it and gives me a link to remove it manually,, But the problem is when I try to do a regedit on my system to remove it, I can not get into registry,, I have always been able to get in the registry before,, Can anyone help me figure this out?? Also I have scanned with Norton, Avast, xsoft SE, superspyware remover, Bazooka, Avg Free, Avg antispy, and various other scanner for these things and the only one who catches this is the Bazooka scanner,,
I need to get into my Registry to manually remove it But I can not get into the registry thru the RUN REGEDIT, as I mentioned I have always been able to get into my registry but now it wont open,, any help would be greatfully appreciated,, thanks much,

It's quite a powerfull wee job and I defrag it regularly and run a registry check.

I have some quite heavy duty programs on it and when I go control alt delete they are all showing.

Could this cause the slow running and if so how can I 'disconnect' them without deleting them?

right now i have 2 of 256mb of ram which adds up to 512 i have 4 slots total so would it work if i buy 1 of the 512mb and still add to the memory? even tho the last slot is open? or will i need to buy 2 more of the 256 mb and fill all slots?

I have three weeks left of my pre-installed trial version of Norton 2007 left on my Dell laptop. But I just bought a version on Buy.com of Norton Internet Security 2007 for $59.99 (with $50 of mail-in rebates, however). Should I install it now or wait for the trial version to expire? I have just bought a wi fi enabled laptop and will want to use it to connect to the internet wirelessly. I am soooo confused. What do i need to connect? I have orange broadband coming through on a bt landline. is it a router or a modem router? what do all the numbers mean? does the type of router or make affect the speed of the broadband (just got 8 meg, dont want to lose any speed). I am normally quite good just got mega confused. Also, can I have my big pc connected to the broadband at the same time as the laptop? i understand that i can set up a network but one would be hardwired, whilst the laptop would be wireless. please please help me.
