how much watts will be required for a computer with these specs?

2x 2gb/800
320gb/16 SATA2
Intel P35-DS3 Motherboard
x18 dvd-rw

will 600 watts be sufficient?

500w would do i would expect, But i would reccomend 550/600 watts to take in to account any extra upgrades you may do, and any OC you might do.

Its a calculator, just put in all the features, and it will feed out the power supply you will need, although as i said earlier, its better to get 100w or so more than it says

Also it depends what power supply it is, if its just a cheap value one then the 600w it says will only be a peak time, it wont be able to run at that for very long, however if you get a performance one, then you'll be fine.
And getting dual rail on the 12v is also a good advantage.

A 600w power supply would set you back at least £45/$90. (Approx.)

Generally yes, dont forget to check to make sure you have enough amps on the 16v rail for the video card. That card needs upwards of 30a.
