k so my friend got problem with the Shift + <> problem i dunno how to solve i hope u guys will help

the thing is when she do Shift + 2 supose to be @ but it come out as * .. i have no idea how to fix pls help

I have a 250 GB Western Digital MyBook external hard drive. I have it hooked to my computer through a powered USB hub, and I was just wondering if there would be any benefit to plugging directly into the computer instead of through the hub?

I bought my ATI Radeon x1900 GT about a year ago. Up until a few months ago, it was awesome. I could run any game full settings, no problem. then it went down hill. First, i started to get these annyoing display corruptions when i was playing Oblivion... they are these god awful triangles at that stretch off textures during 3D games, taking up screen space and buggin the S*** out of me. it soon spread to ALL my 3D games. Then, i started getting game crashes. The game would freeze, then i would get a message saying "VPU Recover blah blah blah Your video processor was not taking commands" or something. It only happened on a few games, and usually after i had been playing for half an hour at least. Ever since it started happening its been getting worse. Today, i couldnt play HL2 for a min without reappy ba corruptions then a crash. Some games are working fine but most are totally dead. the bad games: Half-Life 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Oblivion, BF2, and other video intensive games. Any help!?!?

Adobe Flash Player won't download for me. When I go onto this site http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Win32&P3_Browser_Version=MSIE it doesn't show me a "install now" button. I only see it when I click the shockwave flash player, which I was able to install. Anyways is there anyway that it'll let me see it? I just recently got the recent internet explorer and I dont know if thats why my computer isn't working right. Like on some sites if I click a link nothing will happen. It wont even show it loading.

i found a bunch of actions that i want to use in photoshop cs2. i downloaded the zip file into the adobe presets (photoshop actions) and unzipped them. i thought it should automatically import them but it's not. what am i doing wrong?

I know that I'm supposed to open the program to uninstall norton but i can't because everytime I try to it hang! I want uninstall it because i cannot even use the internet because of it. Everytime I go on window explorer the page is blank and i can't log on to any messenger. I tried going to control panel to remove norton but it doesn't work either! Help please.

They have intel processors now, so there's not much difference other than the rediculous price difference. I'm sure there is a hack somewhere that would allow Mac OS to be installed on a PC, so why pay the extra $1000 for a Mac?

It's a compaq computer, the power supply died so I had to replace it once I turned it on the monitor started acting up going off and on, on me... the power supply is a 250W and begger then the older one...what is wrong??? is it the mother board??? to old or the video card? i tried to update the video card and when i did and started it up again the compture never finished booting up so I had to system restore it, then it finished booting but the going on and off was still there..can someone plz help me!!!!

My dad gave me his old laptop. It's a Dell Latitude with a Pentium 166 processor. It has been reliable until last year. The fan doesn't work and I think that caused it to overheat. It was able to support Windows 98 only. The power supply still works.

I plan to have it fixed, and while I'm at it, I was thinking if I would be able to upgrade the processor and the likes. I would like to give it my sister who's in college when I get it fixed.

i have qwest dsl high speed, i went to hook up another computer with a switch, and everything worked fine till i got to a point when i was setting up qwest dsl on the other computer then it said" can not ping the computer" my question is, does a switch just do it ?or do i need a router to hook up the second computer?
