It's an add on for Office 2007 only, but you can install a PDF making printer option if you search for CutePDF .... this is free and easy to use and works in anything that has a print function

I'm in Office 2003. I see no option to save a file as PDF. However, there are two workarounds I can think of:

1. An online converter, free, at www media-convert.com.
2. If you have Print Shop, you can copy or cut/paste to a PrintShop blank page and save as PDF.

I think Office 2007 has this capability.

Office 2003 does not have the PDF creation add-on as you can find for Office 2007.

However, you might give PDF Printer a go!

PDF Printer

PDF Printer produces PDF files of high-quality and high-fidelity. The creation speed is even faster than Office 2007 PDF add-on.

if you want to save a file as pdf files you will need adobe acrobat reader. office 2007 has support for that. but 2003, you will need reader to encode it in there.
