I currently have Norton antivirus and I am an AT&T subsciber and I know I cannot have BOTH antivirus programs. I will have to renew my norton within the next week and I was wondering is the FREE antivirus as good as Norton or should I just stick with the one I have and pay the price. Overall I am satisfied with the product. I use my computer for my business and I cannot afford to have it CRASH on me. Anyone with advice please respond ASAP. If you have another program to recommend please do so. THANKS!!

I just got high-speed internet, and I also bought a wireless router, but I don't know how to hook up the cables. It came with a power cord and an ethernet cord, but I've already hooked an ethenet cord into my PC for my modem? Where does this ethernet cord for the router go? My router didn't come with instructions except a CD that is suppose to do all of that, but it doesn't let me go pass step 2. Please help. Thank you.

I have a linksys router and I set up a secure password I know that cause when I use my wireless laptop to connect it has a lock next to the name but when I try to login with 192.168.1.1 or whatever the number is all I have to do is enter admin as the password. Doesn't that mean it's not protected ? I'm afriad other people will use my internet since it's so easy to access.

Some people answered questions similar to this one and said to try Gimp. I want to download it but a feature that I really need is red-eye remover. Does anyone know if Gimp has anything like that? Has anyone used this program? and is so do you like it. I am looking for something simple that crops, resizes...things like that. Something equivalent to infranview for pcs. Thanks!

Both my USB slots on my HP Pavilion laptop are busted.. the company's estimate to fix it is $300

I see bus card adapter but the ones I can find you also have to plug to USB..(wtf?)
It has a serial port but it's not a 9-pin port it's 15 pin.. but 3 rows of 5 pins .. all the adapters I see are 9-pin

Any suggestions?

I already have an existing wireless adapter on my main desktop that feeds my internet signal to my laptop. However, whenever I am out of range I cannot get signal. I would like to be able to take my computer in a public place and get online. I am wondering if I need a wireless network card or what can I do? Thanks

Which would perform better under multitasking (I mean like, encoding/ripping DVDs while playing games like Oblivion)? The obvious advantage of the Quad is twice the cores (though some people are saying its not a "true" quad, which I dont understand), while the E6750 has a higher FSB (1333 MHz vs 1066 MHz) and seems to be the more popular choice at the moment (and its 100 dollars cheaper). I'm also big on overclocking, and the G0 stepping on the Quad is drawing me closer.

So which would perform better for an overclocking, multitasking, high end gaming beast?

Oh yeah, and I'm not limited to just these two processors, if you have a better suggestion, let me know (but I'm not spending any more than $350 on a cpu, otherwise I'd get the Core 2 Extreme)

I have and Emachines Desktop T6216 and I am trying to install the Audio Drivers...I have gone to their Download Page and download it and installed it...my computer restarted and yet nothing!!!!! My audio pluis plugged in and I still have no audio! Any thouhts?

PS: I didnt wanna go customer help on Emachines cuz You gotta put in your info on the ur compuer and Im too lazy to do that.......
