I am trying to play a dvd on my computer, and normally when i put in the disc it just instantly plays. this time it didnt. How do i get it to play? (by the way i do have a computer that plays dvd's.)
do i just click "my computer" or something?

Hello, I might have lost my old computer since I have a new one and my uncle thought that the old one was no longer needed. So, he took the computer out to the ranch and used it for target practice. There are three half-inch bullet holes in the pc that he managed to get before I stopped him.

Is there a way to get my old pc fixed or is it too late? I am not joking so please answer.

I'm trying to change songs purchased on Napster from wma to mp3. When making CDs from the songs they don't working properly in my car CD player. I guess my car does not allow wma (?) - 2002 Ford Escape with a mach system (I think). I've tried to download some free converter programs from download.com but they either get stuck during download or error out.
Are there any good programs that will convert from wma to mp3? I don't mind paying a little bit of money (maybe up to $20 to $30) but some don't even have a trial period to test out.
I'm not really saavy with computer stuff so I would like a pretty basic program - no fancy bells or whistles.

I had to make an emergency appointment to have my phone line fixed, it was all static, my ticket was "escalated" to an appointment 6 days later. Then my t.v. went out. They never showed up. I called and they said that my appointment was for the next day. I know it wasn't. I had to make 3 calls and it was always confirmed for TUESDAY 8-11. I made sure I was at home. Then they "escalated" it again, said they would be out later in the day. I've stayed home all day. I got a call saying they would be here in "10 min." that was 2 hours ago.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT SERVICE I CAN SWITCH TO? I NEED PHONE, CABLE, AND INTERNET.

I have a dell computer and i just deleted an account and told it to delete the account, but save the files. However, when I looked to find my limewire (please don't yell at me.. i know i should just buy my music) it wasn't in any files. Is there anyway i can set my computer back a day or anything. I'm shopping around for computer parts, and I think I have settled on an EVGA 680i TR version motherboard.

My question is this - the board says it comes with 2 pci E x16 slots, and one pci E x1 video sli expansion slot.
Does that mean that if I run two matched cards in SLI mode, they will both still run at 16x ? Or is the 1x expansion SLI slot going to run one card way slower than the other?

When I play computer games, they shut down by themselves at the same time each time I play. My brother can't play an online multiplayer game called runescape because it does the same to him although Runescape is not a program. Sometimes the whole screen turns blue and I can see the sentence "beginning dump of physical memory" for 1 second among other computer related codes then the computer reboots. Once i log into my XP account a window comes up that says "This system has recovered from a serious error." And then I can either click Send Error Report or Don't Send error report to Microsoft. That hasn't exactly helped. So what do u think is wrong with my laptop?
