Probably not-lol, too sticky. The best thing for your mouse is to buy an optical one. I found one for $10 dollars and it works great. Much better than the ball type and still affordable. P.S. I found it at Home Depot.

I've never tried ear wax myself but if you can get the mouse into your ear I don't think the ear wax will harm the mouse.

the cleaner the mouse the better it will work. but for the sake of old witch doctor cures, bang it on the desk and then blow inside of it.
