we have a printer that we want to connect to two computers. How do we do that?

You enable file and print sharing.

You install the printer on one computer.

You set it to shared.

Then you add a new printer on the other computer and scan for the shared printer.

Have you ever considered just doing a google search since you probably want this to be cookbooked for you?

There are many ways to do that from plugging back and forth to a full Ethernet printer just note that:

if a printer has both USB and parallel port it DOES NOT mean you can have one going to one computer and the other going another.

There are splitters specific to do that, but it no more than a circuit switch that connects the circuits at the twist of a knob.

use the CD- Rom the printer came with and install the printer onto both computers. then when one computer needs to use the printer then connect it to that one. and then just disconnect it when the other computer needs to use that printer.
