Questions to my fellow Developers?

Would you please describe a typical day at work, from getting in to leaving the office. Thanks

I get in around 7am. Usually in the mornings (most other folks get in after 9) I have uninterrupted time to do coding. In the afternoons, a good portion of my time is spent troubleshooting problems in the production system, in requirements and design meetings, discussing solutions with other developers. I usually get out of the building around 6pm.

A lot of the other developers on the team work 8-hour days, and spend a lot more time coding and less time in meetings than I do. In general, the more senior positions are more responsible for architecture and design, which requires more meetings and discussion -- though we expect them to contribute significantly to the coding as well.
