i have lost files for my DVD rewriter and now cant use it also files for deep burner

I am in a class called Microsoft Office Word 2003. We were given an assignment where we saved a letter with spelling errors on our flash drive, and I must correct the errors. I only have Microsoft Office Word 1995. Would this work to finish my assignments, or would I have to use the 2003 edition?

Hi all,

Over the past few weeks my laptop has been running significantly slower then usual. When browsing the net, pages will randomly freeze and explorer will shut down and close all other explorer windows open.

I regualrly defrag my hard drive (when it says its needed) and perform disk clean-up. I also run weekly virus check (using norton) and weekly adware scan (using Window's Defender.)

Earlier I also went through all my installed software and uninstalled things which I no longer use. When doing this I saw I have two versions of Yahoo messenger in my add/remove list.. one named 'Get Yahoo' sized 29.39MB and the other named 'Yahoo! messenger' sized 25.27MB. The funny thing they both state that they were last used in June when I use it everyday?! I obviously dont need both... does anyone know which one is safe to delete or would just have to take a lucky guess?

If anyone has any other useful tips to help make your system run quicker? any other software? help appreciated

I work for a small east coast company around 20 people. I have pretty decent benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, & I work at home). I have 3 years experience. Should I be making more or should I be content for now? Also I just received my Masters in IS from a highly respected school - Stevens in NJ. Just curious.

I inserted several pictures into an InDesign book file. All of the pictures were edited in Photoshop and were originally 300 dpi. When I saved them as .jpgs, I chose to save them at the absolute best quality possible. Then I saved the file through the Distiller as a PDF.

My printer came back and said all my pictures were between 149-229 dpi. How is this possible.

My mother is having problems with the printer for her computer. When you print off any letters or photos they all come out in various colours, no black ink. A letter today came out green. Any ideas how to rectify this problem. All the ink cartridges are full and maintenance tasks have been performed. Thanks.

Hi there,

I have a DVD ROM drive on my computer that suddenly stopped working one day. It's a Samsung SD616e in my Dell Dimension 3000.

It is recognized by the compuer, it is saying that it is working properly, but it will not read any discs, CDs DVDs or otherwise.

How can I fix this problem?
