If these are the files for the burner, they can be restored by simply re-installing the burner software that came with your machine.
If this is Windows, you can drag files back out of the trash can, if you haven't emptied the trash can.
If you've emptied the can, you can buy an undelete program at places like CompUSA, and it will bring back those deleted files AS LONG AS you don't use the computer again until you do this.
If you continue to use the computer, the chances are slim that you'll be able to recover the lost files with an undelete program.

well try using the Windows System Restore (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore).. if u are lucky you might be able to restore your files...
another way is to use data recovery tools like Easy Recovery Pro
remember that 100% data recovery is never guaranteed...
it might also be that the files you recover are not in their correct format... you'll need to reassign the correct format to them in such cases...
even though 100% recovery isnt guaranteed the data STILL Resides on the disk's memory allocation sectors and stays there till those memory addresses are taken over eventually by other files after a real long time depending on the size of ur hard disk

If it's driver files you've deleted then type the make and model of your DVD burner into google followed by the word 'drivers'.
Alternately go to the maufacturers homepage.

Not sure about Acer, but HP and Compaq come with an application recovery program, separate from the System Recovery. Try looking in the programs menu in the Acer folder, or system tools. Or go to Acer's website, and check in the support section under Downloads.

have you emptied the recycle bin yet? if not just double click on the bin and right click them to restore. if deleted a long while ago you could check previous backups for them. otherwise you could go online and do a search for those files. usually someone has uploaded them somewhere. good luck, it sucks when that happens!

Try a system restore. Go back beyond the date when you deleted the files. They should come back. My pictures did anyway, when I deleted accidently.

Press start then search...put in deleted file name and wait.......
Deleted files are never cleaned from your hard drive.(unless you download certain programs). Your search should recover the deleted files.
Good luck.
