the intel core 2 duo t7x00 series is simply awesome
imagine 4 mb l2 cache., would do a high end desktop proud
if you believe me, select one with the t7200; 2.0 ghz, 4 mb l2 cache, 667 mhz fsb
t7400 & t7600 are faster but price differential is not justified !
dell offers you max. customisation, besides max. value for money
a 14.1" truelife widescreen should be great., any bigger it becomes painful to lug around

I just bought a beautiful new Dell (m1210) with a dual core processor. I got it on thier outlet site and the machine I snagged was actually never even booted up so it is brand new but for only $1200. It has a built-in webcam, instant-on capability, bluetooth, dvd rw dual layer, 3yrs of mcaffe, windows media xp etc etc etc. It is a wonderful looking and performing little maching (only 12.1 inch screen which I prefer because I have my big stuff at home). I highly recommend looking into it :)
