My computer has a DVD burning drive but there apears to be no software to let me use it. Can I just use media player or realplayer or do I need a diffrent program. If so does anyone know where I can download a Program to assist me?

I'm majoring in pre-med. I'll sometimes watch clips on my computer or listen to downloaded music. I don't really do either too often. I basically just want my computer for internet and word processing. I would prefer to spend between $1000-$1500. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

I recently reformatted my Dell Inspirion 5100 and installed Windows Media Center 2005 on the desktop. I have updated all my drivers (via original Dell Disk) and have been unable to connect to the internet.

When I try to create a new connection via their networking wizard, I receive a message that states "your broadband devide should already be enabled for the Internet". I have tried re installing the software, and resetting my internet. Internet is working with every other device in my home.

Does any one have any solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this old computer that uses a serial mouse and it stoped working on me. So i bought a mouse that attaches to the PS/2 port and that should work, but i don't think i have the software installed for it because it didn't work, so i went out and bought an adapter that conects to the serial port, but that still didn't work, any suggestions?

I am thinking about keeping XP, but don't know about the newest editions of Vista. I've seen some of it's features, and am not impressed. Give me your opinion on whether vista is right for a graphic designer/photographer.

I also think that the features won't be benificial. they seem like the old XP's hidden features. For instance, XP has a built-in index (and by the way it starts to index right away), and can be searchable, just like MSN Desktop Search. I don't want to upgrade, but the more I think about it, the more I want to.

XP has plenty of enhancements, but Microsoft won't be supporting XP after 2007 or so. I hope you can help me out.

Oh, by the way, I have a old 478-pin processor, but don't think that a Pentium 4 HT upgrade is going to help, even if I do have a Celeron.

Please answer my question with as much detail as possible. THX.

I am looking to have 2 computers on each router/gateway. I am also wanting to know if each router would get a substantially different IP address if it could be connected to a different ISP? Or would one router/gateway have to be connected through the other one, and therefore they would both have SBC's IP address?

ago in Indiana, Carmen Winstead was pushed down a sewer opening by 5 girls, trying to embarrass her in front of her school. When she didn't submerge the police were called. They went down and brought up Carmen's body, neck broken from hitting the ladder, and then the side concrete at the bottom. The girls told everyone she fell. 2 months ago, 16 yr old David Gregory read this post and didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower he heard laughter from his shower, he started freaking out and ran to his computer to repost it. Then he went to sleep. 5 hrs later his mom woke up in the middle of the night cause of a loud noise. David was gone.That morning a few hrs later the police found him in the sewer, neck broken, face skin peeled off.

If you don't repost this saying "She was pushed" or "They Pushed her down a sewer" Carmen will get you, from a sewer, the toilet, the shower, or when you go to sleep you'll wake up in the sewer, in the dark, then Carmen will come and kill you

Anyone know how to program a Windows network logon password using one key?

When I'm at work, I'm required to logon using a username and password. Is there any way to program a function key (e.g., F1) to remember my password?

If not, any other suggestions? My password is required to be a "hard" password, for example, "asdfjkl%0." Any way to map a function key to these characters? That would be pretty sweet.
